Commercial Analyst, CUA

Position: Commercial Analyst

Overview of Responsibility:   The Commercial Analyst proactively identifies and links members’ needs with CUA’s products and services, securing greater market and wallet share of members’ personal and commercial business.  This position provides administrative management and support on members’ files, including the establishment of member accounts, compiling lending or deposit files and contacting members via both written and verbal communications.  In addition, the Commercial Analyst conducts the necessary analysis and make recommendations on lending and deposit applications, including renewals.

Key Results Areas:

KRA 1: Business Growth – identify and refer new business in all aspects of CUA’s offerings, including new membership, deposits, lending and other product categories. Establish an effective opportunity spotting and referral process of both commercial and personal business from commercial members, proactively engaging with existing and new members for all of their banking needs.

KRA 2:  Administrative Management and Support – support a timely and effective loan renewal process by preparing the file, conducting the necessary analysis and making recommendation, which is provided to the Commercial Account Manager for decision. Carry out various administrative functions for commercial members’ accounts and related products as required to enable high performing operations.

KRA 3:  Risk Management – responsible for overall quality of individual commercial credit portfolio, ensuring a high degree of due diligence on documentation and assessment of lending decisions, and meeting established targets for expired credits by completing annual reviews in a timely manner.

Qualifications:  Undergraduate degree or diploma in Business Administration with five years relevant experience in small business or commercial lending; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
