Communications Officer (One-Year Term)

Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Strategy, the Communications Officer is responsible for the areas of communications and community impact as outlined in CUA’s Business Plan and Strategic Plan.  The Communications Officer is the primary resource and support for writing, editing and publishing content for internal and external audiences across various platforms including the website, mobile app and e-newsletter. This position oversees the execution of the Financial Literacy Program and the CUAuthors Program, and supports the marketing and member services teams through writing and/or editing corporate materials, media releases, social content, and marketing materials.

Education/Experience:     

  • Possess an undergraduate degree or diploma in Public Relations, English or Communication, with two to three years relevant experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Intermediate experience in managing CMS platforms and / or MailChimp.
  • Familiarity with, or interest in, the financial services industry is considered an asset.

This is a one-year term position with an anticipated start date in early January 2018, offering compensation commensurate with experience and qualifications.
