Located in the beautiful Annapolis Valley, Valley Credit Union is a full service financial institution with 7 branch locations, 70 employees, and over $150 Million in assets. To join its leadership team and work closely with employees across the business, Valley Credit Union is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Human Resources Manager to work in its Waterville, NS head office location.
Reporting to the President & CEO, the Human Resources Manager is responsible for the full spectrum of HR activities including human resources planning, recruitment and retention, training and development, compensation and benefits, policy administration, performance management and employee relations. As a member of the leadership team, this individual will contribute to the strategic planning and direction of the business and will ensure that all human resources programs are effectively implemented and aligned with the overall business plan. Working collaboratively with teams across all branches and offices, this individual will demonstrate the ability to establish credibility and trust while building strong working relationships at all levels of the business and with industry partners. A valued member of the leadership team, you will play a key role in enhancing a culture of trust, accountability and employee engagement.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years related experienced coupled with a post secondary education in business and/or human resources administration, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively lead people through change are required. The ideal candidate will demonstrate business acumen, a high degree of work ethic and results orientation.
