Valley Credit Union requires a Manager, Human Resources for its Head Office in Cambridge, N.S.  Reporting to the President & CEO, the Manager, Human Resources is responsible for the design, development, implementation and evaluation of the credit union’s Human Resources programs in the areas of human resource planning, recruiting, training and development, compensation and benefits, performance management and employee relations.  The incumbent develops and recommends Human Resources policies which ensure employees are treated fairly and consistently and in keeping with the credit union’s philosophy and mission statement.

The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

  • University degree in Business or Commerce with HR Concentration
  • 5 years relative experience
  • CHRP designation would be an asset
  • Or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Advanced levels of the following core behavioural competencies:

    • Team Leadership
    • Developing Others
    • Strategic Orientation

Salary will be in accordance with experience and qualifications of the successful candidate. Valley Credit Union offers an extensive benefits package.
