Manager, Member Services Support

Reporting to the Director of Member Services Support, the Manager, Member Services Support is responsible for managing the lending, deposit and administrative services provided to the front-line branch operations and the Customer Contact Centre.  Applying strong leadership and organizational skills, this position ensures that the service provided to both internal and external customers is of the highest standard of responsiveness, timeliness, accuracy, completeness and proactive resolution of issues.   The Manager is also responsible for leading the development, review, revision and distribution of policies and procedures pertaining to all aspects of the Member Services Team.

Attributes:

As the successful candidate, you are an experienced retail banker with strong knowledge of loan and deposit products, including registered products and estate disbursements.  You excel at managing processes and proactively look for opportunities to improve operations to achieve a high standard of service.  You understand the value and importance of well-defined policies and procedures and are adept at preparing written documents that are clear, concise, complete and easy to understand by front-line staff and support them in the delivery of exceptional service to members.  The clarity in which you communicate verbally, particularly in providing instructions or direction to your Team, is superior and enables efficient and effective conclusion of your Team’s work.  Your orientation to service and leadership skills in managing administrative staff has enabled you to consistently meet or exceed your performance targets and has facilitated your organization’s success.

Education/Experience:

  • University degree or college diploma, with three to five years of progressive banking experience in retail operations or in a support function to operations.
  • Expert lending and deposit knowledge and experience, including the management and work with legal or tax documents.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Excel, Word and Access.
  • Certification in estate planning, completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or the Investment Funds in Canada (IFIC) course would be considered an asset.
