Supervisor, Credit Management

Reporting to the Director, Member Services Support, the Supervisor, Credit Management is responsible for leading the delinquency control process and ensuring mitigation of loss from delinquency accounts. The Supervisor, Credit Management also administers all collections activities for CUA’s personal and commercial loans portfolio, which includes following compliance guidelines, positively impacting the member experience, monitoring and timely repayment.


As the successful candidate, you have a proven ability to ensure an outstanding quality of service experience for all personal and commercial members during the impaired loan / collection process. You proactively work toward ensuring overall delinquency and write-offs with members are mitigated, while ensuring proper delinquency / collection processes are followed and members are engaged in the overall process. You continually exercise due diligence during the collection process; reviewing and analyzing delinquency information; calculating the appropriate ratio analyses; understanding all legal aspects of the collection process and preparing required reports for the Board’s Credit Committee, ensuring accuracy, completeness and high quality.


  • University or college graduate plus have one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Lending experience, delinquency management and work with legal documents considered an asset.
  • Superior quality of service mindset.
  • Strong administrative background.
  • Strong collection experience including foreclosures.
  • Superior knowledge of bankruptcy and legal processes of collections.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated emotional intelligence (personal and social competence).
  • Strong knowledge of financial products and services.
