Vice President, Finance and Risk

Lake View Credit Union has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated executive to lead our finance and risk operations, and to manage and enhance our risk framework. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and as a member of the executive team, you will play an essential leadership role at LVCU over the coming years and develop people and systems to drive excellence and support growth.

You are an experienced finance professional, hands-on and highly capable of balancing big picture thinking with detailed oversight of day-to-day activity. You will maintain direct accountability for:

  • Strategic and operational financial management
  • Oversight of financial controls and risk management practices
  • Ongoing coaching and development of employees to ensure strong team performance and capacity

You have a knack for getting to the heart of a financial service organization’s lines of business, strategies and economic environment, and are committed to leading your team to translate this into highly effective finance and risk management practices. You have high standards for yourself and your team, setting performance goals that are realistic but challenging. In this way, you engage your team and promote a culture of shared success and camaraderie.

You bring to this role an extensive knowledge of financial institution operations with at least three years’ experience in a related senior management capacity, overseeing the finance function. You are comfortable in a role where you are relied upon as a strategic and operational go-to on all matters relating to finance and risk management. You possess an accounting designation (CA, CGA, or CMA) coupled with business training (MBA preferred), or more than ten years related professional experience.
