Reporting to the Director, Member Services Support, the Research Analyst will provide research support to assist in the effective operations and decision making of CUA. The role proactively researches, compiles, analyzes and interprets data related to business decisions and operations, culminating into recurring and ad-hoc reports. The Research Analyst will also provide organizational support and project assistance to priority initiatives, which may include support in developing project plans, implementation schedules and completing identified tactics under the direction of the initiative owner.
As the successful candidate, you have expertise in compiling relevant and accurate data and in creating meaningful reports. Your attention to detail and high accuracy level enables the users of these reports to rely on the information. You understand how to obtain data from a variety of systems, including core IT systems. You recognize the value of strong documentation and maintain complete and up to date instructions and user guides of all reports under your responsibility. You are an expert in Excel, utilizing pivot tables, exporting and importing data from multiple sources, and establishing formulas to derive correct and complete information. You embrace being a service provider to internal customers and take pride in the quality of your work and responsiveness in delivering on your commitments. You have sound judgement and can quickly detect data or information that deviate from the norm as a critical quality assurance of your work.
Education / Experience:
- Undergraduate degree or diploma in Business, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or Economics.
- Experience in applied research and/or data management tools.
- Strong mathematical, analytical and data modelling skills.
- Proven capability to manipulate large, complex data sets and convert into manageable, understandable reports.
- Excellent problem solving, communication and people skills.
- Expert knowledge of data modeling software and Excel program.
