System Analyst, CUA

System Analyst
Reporting to the Manager, Information Technology (IT), the System Analyst is responsible to maintain and support CUA’s IT systems, including the execution of system changes, testing, upgrades and ongoing operations. The System Analyst evaluates the effectiveness of the systems and makes recommendations for enhancements with consideration of business and customer needs. In addition, this position identifies potential or actual system issues, conducts timely diagnostic assessment and executes the determined solution, working with the IT vendor.

As the successful candidate, you have strong knowledge of IT systems and programming, including system design and testing. Your work with data processing, hardware platforms and enterprise software applications enables you to be effective in this analytical role. You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical matters into easy to understand concepts for non-technical audiences. Education/Experience:
- Undergraduate degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related field, with three to five years of information systems experience, and preferably in a System Analyst or similar role; or, equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Experience working in LAN/WAN environments, administering VMWare and NetApp storage technology, server administration and working in the banking sector are considered an asset.
